The Marshall Islands Council of Non-Governmental Organizations or MICNGO is a coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which became duly chartered in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in July 31, 2003 as a non-profit non-governmental organization. As the Republic of the Marshall Islands umbrella association of Non-Government Organizations. We are also proud members of the Pacific Islands Association of Non-Governmental Organizations.


To strength the institutional, administrative and technical capacities of CSOs by enabling them to become accountable, effective and transparent mechanisms for social justice, equity and change in accordance with its by-laws and policies as determined by its members.


The mission of MICNGOs is to serve as a voice for community-based, non-profit, CSOs operating or interested in operating in the Republic in order to:

A. Ensure there is interaction and effective communication between among community-based CSOs in the Republic.

B. Ensure there is continual and effective communication between local CSOs and stakeholders at the national. regional and international levels.

C. Assis in identifying community priorities and serve as a focal point for resource distribution within and across community and non-government sectors.

D. Encourage and commit to principles of sustainable and appropriate development, accountability, transparency, capacity building, cultural competency and responsible stewardship.
